7 Jul - 17 Jul Elche, Spain	J.R.R. Tolkien: más allá de la pantalla This event consists of a series of expert panels, lectures, film and documentaries related to Tolkien's work. The panel of the last day (July 17th) will include Adam Tolkien, son of Christopher Tolkien, translator of some of his grandfather's books into French, and currently the main collaborator of his father in the editing of J.R.R. Tolkien's writings. For example, he has been heavily involved in the edition of "The Children of Húrin". This event is organized by the Smial of Mithlond of the Spanish Tolkien Society, and funded by the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo. All activities will be in Spanish. The pictures must portray European landscapes recalling the places created by our favourite author JRR Tolkien. The Italian Tolkien Society has held such exhibitions before, but this is the first time that the invitation to take part is being extended to Tolkien fans from other nations.
